New Car

UPDATE!

Okay, so I know I was supposed to be keeping up with this better, but that was when Sam was still home, the animals weren't driving me crazy, school was out, and I was in town for work.  So I'm sorry that this has been less than up-to-date.  I will post important news though

So here we go!  I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and we are pretty sure that we are having a boy.  As you can see from the pictures, we couldn't get a real clear image on the in-office machine, but I am scheduled for the full blown ultrasound on February 13th.  Yes, I will be checking out "little nug" on Friday the 13th!  Once I see him again then, we can be sure whether it's a he or a she.  Right now I'm going with a "he" though.  It was so incredible to get to see the baby again.  The last time I saw it, it was just a ball of flickering cells.  Now it looks like a real person which is kind of weird to think that there is an actual person growing in there and not some scary looking tadpole.  I will have to say that I am quite a bit more excited about having a boy than I thought I would be.  The thought of a mini-Sam was a little scary, but now the thought of a mini-Sam that is going to love me the way little boys adore their mommies, just makes me want to do back flips.  I think that Sam is on the opposite end of that spectrum though.  I think that deep down, he was hoping for a girl so that she could have him wrapped around that little finger and make him melt.  I think he's more nervous about having a boy than he or I thought he would be.  But whatever, the case, as long as it's healthy, I'm happy.  If it is a boy though, I have an incentive to have another one so he can have a mini-Sam and I can have a mini-Caroline.  I know I've only been feeling better for two weeks and for the last ten I've been miserable, but I could do it again.

On another happy note, I am feeling MUCH better.  I have been off the anti nausea meds for two weeks now and things are great.  Of course, if I don't eat when I need to I start feeling a little sick, but other than that, the constant nausea and impending vomiting is gone.  I am also not experiencing any heartburn and only mild indegestion.  So YAY!  Like always though, I'm sure I will be hit with it next week since I'm celebrating its absence

I'm posting another belly picture since it's been about a month.  This was taken today and I am 18 weeks and 1 day along.  I am also posting a picture of the new "mom-mobile".  Sam graciously let me trade my four door sedan for a four door SUV.  It has everything that I want on it (heated seats, i-Pod jack, DVD players for the back seat, and more space to haul the family).

The New Year

Well, it's a new year, but more of the same so far.  I had a good Christmas with my parents and my grandparents.  I've managed to do some housework which was way over due.  I don't think I've vacuumed since Sam left and that was almost a month ago.  With two cats and two dogs, that's a long time.  But the living room and the office are clean!  Now I just need to work on the bedroom.

So far, I'm still sick, but my doctor said it could last until 17 weeks.  I'm 16 weeks today so I'm hoping that it will pass sometime over the next week or I'm going to be really grumpy for the next five and a half months.

My next doctor's appointment is in two weeks and I may be able to find out what we are having and I should be able to update "Nugget's" picture so that you can actually see the baby

That's all for now.  Nothing too exciting going on around here.  It's just chilly and I'm trying to stay indoors.
