4D Ultrasound

Well, we got our 4D Ultrasound this afternoon.  It was pretty cool to actually get to see the little guy moving around and making faces.  We are 100% sure that it's a boy now.  I'm not posting that picture though.  He deserves a little privacy.  So far, everything looks great.  He's measuring the right size, has a good spine, and all the ultrasound measurements for Down's syndrome look like we are going to be having a very healthy, perfect baby boy.  He's measuring at about 4.3 pounds.  Can't wait to meet him!

Jason Mraz Concert

Last night was the Jason Mraz and Plain White T's concert for my birthday.  Sam and I went and had a great time.  The Plain White T's were good.  Jason Mraz was awesome.  The opener was Anya Marina.  Her last song, sang T.I.'s "Whatever You Like" with her acoustic guitar.  It was pretty interesting.  Here's a picture from last night.  I have some videos of my favorite songs, but they were too big to post here.

4-D Ultrasound pictures will be coming tomorrow!

March of Dimes

Well, we made it. I was able to walk. Thanks to friends and family, I raised $285 for the cause and out team raise over $2,000. It was alot of fun even though I was in alot of pain that night and the next day. My feet tingled and my back hurt, but we made it. The last quarter mile was the worst but Sam and the dogs kept me going. Here's picture of us at the walk. Gunner is there too, he's just hidden in the picture.

Today I'm relaxing and enjoying my first day off.  Tomorrow, all the fun of events and appointments start for the week.  I also have to get started on my final papers and tests for school.  The semester is almost over!

Four Work Days Left

Well, I'm officially a short-timer or so I've been told. I only have four more days of work. Sam should be getting home sometime this week. I have my fingers crossed that it's any day but Wednesday. I have to travel out of town that day for work so that is the one day that I'm hoping we can avoid. Of course, we are talking about the air force which continuously disrupts my life so I'm fully expecting him to get home at 2pm on Wednesday since there's no possible way I could be there.

School is also kicking my butt at the moment. At the beginning of this weekend, I was about a month behind in both classes. I have two case studies and a test due within the next couple of weeks! I'm hoping to be able to continue through school while staying at home. I'm going to try it out with one class this summer. It should be interesting. Something tells me that Mom will be around alot this summer and that we will be down at the beach too.

Over the past week, my weight has been wildly fluctuating. I'm somewhere between +15 and +18 pounds at any given time on any given day. It really depends on how much water I've managed to drink in one day (somewhere between 60 and 80 ounces). I feel like a fish. In a little over a week, we'll be seeing our baby boy again! I'll be posting pictures so keep an eye out.

New Hair

Cut off 8 inches and donated to Locks for Love! Got my haircut for free and I love it! Today was a good day!

Finally A New Picture

So here's a new picture. The latest is that Sam is getting home on the 20th. He should be calling me soon to let me know whatever other details he has. I am soooo ready! We have lots on the schedule already for when he gets home. The March for Babies is the 25th, we are seeing Jason Mraz and the Plain White T's in concert on the 28th, the 29th is my birthday, we are getting a 4D ultrasound on the 30th and a doctors appointment on May 1st. Crazy! And I think we might try to make it down to the beach sometime during all that. We'll be busy busy bees! The "honey-do" list is growing everyday.

Phew!

Well, I know I said I would post another picture on Friday, but time just keeps slipping away. I am about a week away from getting Sam back and ten days from being done with work. I am looking forward to getting my time back and a helper around the house. I am hopeful that I will be able to post some pictures of the baby's room in the next few weeks after it's done. I am also hoping to get an appointment for a 4D ultrasound so we can really see little "Nugs" face. Maybe that will help us finally decide on a name. Although, I'm leaning heavily towards "Austin" and no, it's not naming my kid after the town. Anyone who really knows me, knows that I hate Austin. It's a nice place to visit, but I'll never leave there again. We'll see.

Like a crazy person I signed up for a summer class to continue to get my master's degree. I'm hopeful that this will keep me marketable so that when I decided to go back to the workforce, I won't be behind the curve. Part of me still wants to start over a go to school to be a vet, but that's just a dream.

Ok, tonight or tomorrow night, I will get a picture up. I promise!

Long Time

Ok, so I now it's been a really long time since I updated this. But with Sam being gone and I've been out of town, my weekends have been consumed with baby showers and getting ready to head out of town again. I haven't made the time to keep up. There's really nothing new to report. We are on the home stretch of both this pregnancy and Sam's deployment. Oh yeah, and my job. I put in a three-weeks notice last Friday so as of April 24th I will be officially unemployed! I am counting down the days. Nineteen more to go. Here is a picture of me from about three weeks ago. I'm going in for my next appointment on Friday, so I'll try to post another picture then.
