Mother's Day

So what are my plans for my first Mother's Day?  Well, I'm planning on doing nothing!  I'm going to try to finish reading a book I've been working on for three months and just relax.

Tomorrow, I'm going to start really working on little Austin's room.  I have to clear out some boxes, paint and use the glue gun on some wooden letters, put together some pictures, and wash everything!  Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures after that so you all can see his set up.

Then it will be time to work on my own room.  I get to clear my closet of all those stuffy business suits and fill in the space with normal clothes!  I can't wait!  It still hasn't really sunk in that I'm not going back to work in a few days.  It's really weird.  I'm still keeping a planner because I'm O.C.D. like that so life by itself still feels like work.

Yesterday I hung out with Lisa and worked on another baby quilt for Austin.  The first one I made went to Granny's house.  It had a few mistakes because it was my first attempt at quilting.  So far, this one is turning out better, but I still have to do the binding so there's still time for some mistakes.

Sam has started going back to work.  So far, he doesn't like it.  But what can you expect?  Alot changes around here in four months.  He'll get into a routine somehow and things will go back to normal.  We're thinking that he may not have to deploy again until June.  That would be great, but it would mean that he'll miss Austin's first birthday by a week or so (unless he decides to come early).

Look for pictures sometime this week of Austin's room!
