Trip to North Carolina and Doctor's appointment

Well, we've been really busy lately. Earlier this month, we took a trip to North Carolina to get a picture with Austin's Great-Great-Grandmother among a few others. We had four plane rides total to get there and back. Austin was wonderful for all of them. Our last leg had at least ten children and babies on it. Austin was by far the best behaved. He had no problems with pressurization and even was great on the car ride to Greenville, Rocky Mount, and back to Raleigh.

While we were there, we got to see alot of family which was nice. First we went to Greenville to see Great-Granddaddy and G.G. While we were there we saw Great-Uncle Ricky and Great-Aunt Sheila, Great Uncle Joel and Great-Aunt Tammy, and our cousins Lauren and Paul and Tanner and Katie. We also saw lots of other old friends. Here are some pictures from the trip. Of course, Paw-Paw had to be there for the five generations picture.

Here are some pictures of us eating at Parker's BBQ (nowhere like it).

Here are some pictures of us hanging around Great-Granddaddy and G.G.'s house.

We went to Rocky Mount to see Austin's Great-Great-Grandmother.

After spending a couple of days in Greenville, we went to Raleigh for the night before our flight back to little rock. Great-Aunt Shannon came up from Georgia to see Austin.

Austin traveled in the sling at the airport. On a couple of flights, he slept on his daddy too.

Yesterday was Austin's 2-month doctor's appointment. He has grown to 11 pounds 1 ounce and is 23 inches long. He is a little weed! The doctor was impressed with his growth and he's catching up to all the other boys on the growth chart. He is now in the 50th percentiles! He was in the 10th percentile when he was born. He got his first round of shots and took them like a champ. He only cried for about 10 or 15 seconds. I think it was really harder on me. I hate needles and have real anxiety about them.

After our appointment, we ran errands and stopped by my old job to see a few people. Austin was "oohed" over and then we came home. We had dinner last night with a couple of other "single moms", Lisa and Marcie. Austin sat in my lap across from his friend Max (Marcie's baby who is three weeks older) and talked to him while Max smiled away. It was cute. That's about all for now.
